Joel Gilbert (from Oak Ridge, Tennessee, born on April 15, 1964) is an American film director, writer, and musician. Through his production company, Highway 61 Entertainment, Gilbert directed and produced four documentary feature films on Bob Dylan’s music and career, including Bob Dylan World Tour 1966, The Home Movies, and Bob Dylan 1975-1981: Rolling Thunder and The Gospel Years.
