Robert L Clack starred in the early B-Western Movies and TV westerns under the name Bobby Clark. His interest in roping began after attending the Oklahoma-Arkansas rodeo in Ft. Smith. He first performed in 1932 at the age of 6 in Springfield, MO. On July 4, 1938, he was discovered by a Monogram talent scout at a Junior Chamber of Commerce rodeo in Sulphur, OK. With his horse, Chief, Bobby Clark appeared that year at Madison Square Garden where he captured the World Champion Trick Roping title.
