In Nöchling, things tick a little differently. Gossip flourishes here – and when the two village policemen aren't smoking pot, they roar through the countryside in their three-wheeled "Polizia" car (sic!). But dark clouds are gathering over the idyll: The "Ostamt" (Eastern Office), which has long since lost its "P" (signature), is threatened with closure. The two postal workers give in to their booze and get into an argument with the local butcher's son-in-law. The next day, the man has disappeared – and the policemen, who have apparently watched too many "CSI" episodes, begin their momentous, but nonetheless flawed, investigation. Yes, and there's even something resembling a love story.
